Any of our six week classes are a great start for someone who is new to clay and those who have clay experience. You will learn basic clay techniques, how to apply texture, use molds for shaping, sculpting by hand, making handles, building with coils, smoothing and finishing pieces, using underglazes and applying glazes. 

Don’t want the six week commitment? Try a mini workshop and make a special project in 2 weeks. We have several workshops to choose from throughout the year perfect for beginners.

Open studio is from 2pm to 5pm every Saturday. It’s a time for anyone to come work independently on clay projects. There is no instruction.  You must have previous clay experience and be knowledgeable about glazing practices and understand how to use studio tools and equipment. Participants pay $50 per Saturday (3 hour session) to have access to the studio tools, supplies, glazes and kiln firings. Open Studio is free for students taking a 6 week class. Clay is an extra charge for everyone. Some restrictions apply. Contact us for more information and to schedule. 

We love keeping little hands busy with creativity! During the summer we offer mini workshops, and our Family Clay Time is perfect for homeschooled kiddos. Also book exclusive use of our studio for a private pottery session for 5–16 guests. It's perfect for celebrating a special birthday. Ask us about pricing and talk with us to find a creative project for your group.

We currently have Open Studio time for people to come in and work independently without instruction. We have open studio time available on Wednesday 2pm to 5pm, Friday 2pm to 5pm, and Saturday 2pm to 5pm. Participants pay $50 for each three hour session to have access to the studio tools, supplies, glazes and kiln firings. Open Studio is free for students taking a 6 week class. Clay can be purchased and is not included in the studio fee. Some guidelines and restrictions apply. Contact us for more information. 

Pottery Energy’s 6 week class fee includes everything you need to create pottery during class time. We provide clay, the use of studio tools, access to underglazes, glazes and kiln firings.  You may also use the studio during Open Studio times for no extra charge.  Clay is an extra charge during Open Studio Time. 

No problem! You can attend a make-up session, but it must happen within the 6-week course window. Need flexibility? Make up a class during another class time if there are available seats. Schedule with instructor. 

Please note: fees cannot be prorated for missed classes.

We do for private parties! If you give us 72 hours’ notice before your private party, you’re eligible for a refund (minus a small 20% cancellation fee).

During workshops and classes refunds aren’t available—but we have options! You can transfer your spot to a friend or attend another workshop if there is space. See our refund policy below.
